<p>This article examines the work of Tula Television during the period known not only by historians but also in the general public as the era of the Khrushchev Thaw and the Brezhnev Stagnation. This period in the history of Russian television journalism spans more than two decades (the late 1950s and early 1980s). Using materials from party congresses and plenary sessions, resolutions of the CPSU Central Committee, the USSR Council of Ministers, and the StateTelevision andRadioBroadcastingCompany, and, above all, documents from the State Archives of the Tula Region, the author demonstrates the gradual transformation of the rigid model of manipulating public consciousness and disseminating Marxist-Leninist ideas among the masses, which had developed in the years preceding the 20th Party Congress, into the model of Russian journalism that has evolved over more than two centuries of its history.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>местное телевещание</kwd><kwd>модель журналистики</kwd><kwd>культурная политика на местном телевидении</kwd><kwd>партийное руководство</kwd><kwd>тематика телевещания</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>television broadcasting topics.</kwd><kwd>local television broadcasting</kwd><kwd>journalism model</kwd><kwd>cultural policy on</kwd><kwd>local television</kwd><kwd>party leadership</kwd><kwd>television broadcasting topics</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">1.
